Stephen began his journey into health and wellness at the early age of 8 by making the decision to participate in athletics. Even at a young age, Stephen understood that this structured activity created more happiness during his day to day life, and eventually led to the participation in recreational activities like bike riding, roller blading and fishing. Stephen knew his life's purpose was to educate himself on every aspect of health and deliver this information to the masses, therefore Stephen began his Bachelor's Kinesiology program in 2001 which led to the acquisition of his first training certification and personal training position at the age of 20.
Stephen knew at the completion of his Bachelor's degree that research was an essential part of educating others so he transitioned immediately into an Exercise Physiology Master's program upon graduation from his Bachelor's. Stephen learned applied scientific methods during his two year Master's program while studying the effect of weight training speed on athletic performance.
Stephen found his home at a downtown fitness facility after he completed his Master's degree where he spent the next 12 years helping hundreds of personal training clients from all dimensions of fitness optimize their lives and obtain results. Stephen learned all there was about personal training after that 17 year period, and knew it was time to advance and develop a system to help a larger range of individuals.
Stephen returned to school with a very focused purpose, to study a device which could be delivered to millions and provide wellness transformation. Stephen's Doctorate is in Kinesiology with a focus in movement and rehabilitation sciences, analyzing performance improvements in humans using oscillatory high amplitude whole-body vibration platforms. The research resulted in complete success which prompted Stephen to begin SBB Team (Science Based Body Team) with a colleague. While acquiring his PhD, Stephen began his Fitness Center, Vigor Active in downtown Forth Worth which is currently the fitness home of thousands striving towards their health journey. Stephen has also doubled as an adjunct teaching faculty for the past 11 years at a local University in the Kinesiology department.
